Pure malachite rings showcase one of nature's most recognizable green gemstones. This copper carbonate mineral forms in banded patterns of light and dark green, with no two stones sharing identical markings. Malachite rates 3.5 to 4 on the Mohs hardness scale, making it softer than many jewelry stones and best suited for occasional wear. Our collection includes 36,638 malachite rings set in .925 sterling silver, priced from $6 to $6,302. Each ring features natural malachite sourced primarily from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, and Australia.

Polished malachite in finished jewelry is safe for skin contact. Raw malachite dust poses health concerns during cutting and polishing, but sealed and polished stones present no risk to wearers.
Clean with a soft dry cloth. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, steam cleaning, and chemical solutions. Store separately from harder gemstones that could scratch the surface. Remove before washing hands or swimming.
Major deposits exist in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Australia, and Russia. The Ural Mountains produced much of the malachite used in historical European decorative arts.
Malachite forms in layers as copper-rich solutions deposit minerals over time. Variations in mineral concentration, temperature, and formation speed create the distinctive banding patterns unique to each stone.
